training programs

Our programs are based on goals and results.

We do not charge by the lesson and our goal is to build communication and understanding between you and your dog. Each family and dog has different goals, learning techniques, motivations, and expectations. We can set up a convenient time to work with you and your dog in your home.

We would love to come meet with you in person and discuss your goals and how we can make life easier for you. The evaluation ($100) gives you a chance to make sure we are the right teachers for you and your family and it gives us a chance to meet your dog. The evaluation fee can be applied to a program if you sign up.

Our average program price starts at $1,875.00 and we do work with you on payments if needed and accept credit cards. We are extremely passionate in what we do so we will do everything we can to help make your goals happen. Lessons based on RESULTS! We stick with you until you have a solid understanding of how to continue training.

DOG GONE PROBLEMS

We want to teach you the mind set of letting your dog know that, "We lead, you follow and we will make your life easy." We teach far more than "commands" as we teach a lifelong method of communication between human and dog. We will be your personal teacher, which takes away second-guessing yourself and your techniques.

Our goal is to have you and your dog communicating and understanding you within 6 short weeks. We meet with at our facility in Bloomington, IL. We will have weekly video lessons and weekly training sessions to reach this goal in this short time.

Here are some things you can look forward to and expect.

Heel on a leash and beginning off leash, no more being pulled around the neighborhood.
Reliably on and off leash recall. Yes, this means when you are out at the park walking trails and you allow them to run around, you can be confident when you call them they will respond and come back to you.
Place command with distractions. Perfect when guest come in, or when you are having dinner.
No jumping. Head-butts and muddy paw prints on your clothes is a thing of the past. Properly greet people. Imagine a dog that has some manners and can sit while you have a conversation with your neighbors or how about they not annoy your house guests and embarrass you anymore?
No more mouthing/play biting. Ouch this can hurt even when they are playing. Lets teach them what is acceptable and what is not. Oh and not to mention how they like to mouth and nip their human brothers and sisters which will become a problem no more!
No bolting out the door (house or car). "Hello pizza guy, yep he sure is a good fella, just sitting there and not trying to run out the door." Sure makes the doorbell not so miserable sounding anymore.
No fence fighting/window chasing. "Oh no!! Here comes the Amazon guy again." Yes that also will change.
Obedience around distractions. Listening should happen anywhere and everywhere we go and the only way for that to happen is to teach what we expect of them. No more chewing those favorite shoes or TV remote

CAPTIVATION of COMMUNICATION

We want to teach you the mind set of letting your dog know that, "We lead, you follow and we will make your life easy" and Teaching vs Training. This program is to speed up the process of communication. We build a solid foundation and take around 2 weeks teaching a language with your dog. We are about hopes goals and dreams for you and your four legged partner and work with you on achieving those goals. We teach far more than "commands" as we teach a lifelong method of communication between human and dog. We will be your personal teacher, which takes away second-guessing yourself and your techniques.

Common Goals

Environmental exposure. We expose them to all types of environments including train stations, bus stations, steps elevators and stores.

Building the word "COME". Yes, this means when you are out at the park walking trails and you allow them to run around, you can be confident when you call them they will respond and come back to you.
Place task. Perfect when guest come in, or when you are having dinner or when you just want to play on the floor with the kids.

When they complete the 14 day course we then bring them home to you where we begin teaching you what they have learned. Next, we follow up 3 to 4 lessons after their return to make sure you have an understanding and are comfortable with continuing the lifelong communication skills.

Life long relationship between you and your furry friend
We supply all tools needed so you do not have to guess which tools to buy.
Lifetime group lessons. We meet on average 1 time per month (warm months) during an evening or a weekend day to make it convenient for you. The group lessons will be with those who also have completed our programs and will give you the chance to work around other distractions and other animals.
Always there for you if you have questions. We believe in our techniques so much that we offer a lifetime of help for you.

We begin by picking them up from your home and when they complete the 2 week course, we then bring them home to you where we begin teaching you what they have learned. Our goal is to have you and your dog communicating and understanding you in 4 bi-weekly training sessions and bi weekly video lessons to reach this goal in this short time.

PUPPY FOUNDATION OF COMMUNICATION

We want to teach you the mind set of letting your dog know that, “We lead you follow and we will make your life easy.” Each and every dog has its own character and personality, just as each owner does. As part of the initial consultation, we will help you choose the right program for you, your family, and your dog. This program is to speed up the process of communication. We teach the dog to listen wherever they may be and start the process of responding to us consistently whether on or off leash. We are about hopes goals and dreams for you and your four legged partner and work with you on achieving those goals.

We teach more than the basics of “Sit, Stay”. We teach a lifelong method of communication which will help you throughout your life with dogs.

Included in this program:

Crate Training - This is the first step to having them roam freely in your house in the future
Potty Training - Let us help make this less stressful for you with proven techniques
No Jumping - Start them out from the beginning to keep 4 paws on the ground
Socialization of sights and sounds - You will learn to socialize your puppy to avoid fears in the future
Mouthing/Play Biting - It may be cute when tiny, 8 week old Fido does it, but it’s less cute when
Fido is 80 pounds and continues to do so
Leash - Introducing the leash properly to your pup is important. This will make walking them way more enjoyable for both you and your canine
Games - We will teach you ways to stimulate their mind which makes for a tired and happy dog

At around 16 weeks of age, we will begin the next step to creating the perfect four-legged family member! This program is our E collar introduction course. Your dog will spend 14 days at our kennel to get a jump start on the training foundation. You will then continue teaching your dog what they have learned throughout the past two weeks, and I will be your personal teacher, which takes away second guessing yourself and your techniques.

After completing this program your dog will be able to:

Place command with distractions. Including a long stay!
No jumping. Head-butts and muddy paw prints on your clothes is a thing of the past.
No more mouthing/play biting
